I am fascinated by the scientific endeavor and I read about or engage with those processes as much as possible. I am a compulsive reader and writer.
With a background in anthropology and as an arm-chair/backyard scientist, I hope to improve my writing skills and learn about any areas of weakness or misunderstanding in my analytic skills.
I am excited to share. Thank you for spending time here.

Many… I suggest starting off with Dinosaur Jr (album Green Mind), Sonic Youth (album Washing Machine), everything put out by twin sisters Kim and Kelley Deal (the Breeders, R.Ring, the Kelley Deal 6000, Failure (album Fantastic Planet), Hum (album You’d Prefer an Astronaut), Autolux (album Future Perfect), and anything by Blinker the Star… just for starters.
Lovely. I’ve been a Blinker the Star fan since A Bourgeois Kitten, but am unfamiliar with and thus looking forward to listening to the others. I’m always looking for new music.
Thank you for the info. Just listened to both songs for the 1st time. “My dreams girl don’t exist, just you and I and this tv.” great line. lofi garage tech recordings do it for me.
Cheers to your remarks. I like how frenetic the vocals are. “in the dark, we will take off our clothes…” that’s a perfect line. Oh Comely is my favorite. Good medicine.
I love the dissonance in his voice and how he plays the guitar using simple and very basic chords. I am partial to Engine when it was played live where he adds a saw being bowed, but my my favorite is My Dream Girl Don’t Exist. Never recorded in the studio, but found as a B side on a live EP.
Terrific album!

This record… this band… Jeff Mangum changed my whole view of music. I do love this particular set of song. They are so moving to me.
